The food was good, I suppose, but perhaps not to my tastes. The churros were incredibly light poofs, but were a touch heavy on the sugar for their weight – I’d rank them 7/10, but my wife would probably mark higher. The pretzel was delicious (9.5/10) but I’d put the sauce a touch lower (8/10). The pretzel was near scalding. It was somehow light, fluffy with a delicate crust and yet still pretzel like. I’d go back for the pretzel tho I’m sure it didn’t hurt that I was pretty hungry at this point. The adobo was good (7/10), but not traditional as compared with others I’ve had from living in Juneau and having adobo from Filipino preparations. The veggies were good too (8/10) – spinach, untrimmed broccolini (sp?), and some kind of root veggie cubes. Again, not bad, but not a show stopper either.

Rays Boathouse

We were in Seattle for a little bit at the end of the year for some family vacation, and the place we were staying had “Rays” neon sirens calling us. We found ourselves with a reservation with friends for a Thursday evening. Not knowing anything about Rays, other than that it was “Fine Dining” and a “Seafood” place, we dressed up and headed out. We were met at the door with professionalism with the dining area some ways off from the entry. Overall...
